1- The True Prophet:
Too many readers don’t notice that there is a real prophecy in the New Testament about a true prophet who will be coming, which shown in the following signs:
- People who were meeting Jesus or John for the first time, they were asking if he is the Messiah or the Prophet?
- Jesus talked about the comforter, the Spirit of Truth as single person only.
- Jesus talked about the false prophets in plural that they are many and not only one.
- Jesus talked about them to distinguish them from the true prophet.
This means that there will be one True Prophet and many False Prophets.
Let’s check one by one:
1- In the following verses: they show a debate among the people whether if he is the Christ or the Prophet? Means they were expecting two different persons: Christ and the Prophet.
40 Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet.
41 Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee?
42 Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?
43 So there was a division among the people because of him.
2- Some of the team who claim that Christ is the prophet and he is one the coming to the World:
[John 6:14]
14 Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.
3- Some asking are you John, Elias, Jeremias or one of the Prophet:
[Mathew 16:14]
14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
[Mathew 8: 28-29]
28 And they answered, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets.
29 And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ.
4- Some asking John, Who are you? He answered that he is NOT the Christ, NOT Elias, and NOT the Prophet:
[John 1: 19-20]
19 And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?
20 And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.
21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.
22 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.
24 And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.
25 And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?
The Expected Prophet:
All the above verses confirm that People of Israel were expecting the Christ and expecting a Prophet who will came to the World.
This prophet is the one mentioned in Mosses Prophecy [15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee] [Deuteronomy 18:15].
As explained on the following article that Muhammad (PBUH) is the prophet who looks like Mosses:
2nd, this prophet must come to the World, while Jesus said that he was sent to Israel only:
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. [Mathew 15:24]
Where, it’s mentioned in Quran that Muhammad (PBUH) was sent to the world:
And We have sent you (O Muhammad SAW) not but as a mercy for the Worlds (mankind, jinn). (21:107)
Therefore, the Prophet meant is: Allah’s Apostle Muhammad (Peace Be upon Him).
2- The Comforter, Spirit of Truth, Spirit of God:
Jesus prophesized before his leave that someone will come after him named as the Comforter, Spirit of Truth, let’s check it in the following verses:
1- Giving another Comforter who may abide with you forever, Spirit of Truth who he dwell with you too, this means that Comforter is the Spirit of Truth.
[John 14:16-17]
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of Truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
2- The Comforter, mentioned as the Holy Ghost, will teach us everything.
[John 14:26]
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
3- The Comforter is sent from the Father, also Spirit of Truth proceeds from Father, means both are the same person:
[John 15:26]
26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
4- The Comforter, will come to you, and whenever Spirit of Truth is come he will guide you into all Truth. And as mentioned in 2nd point that Comforter will guide into all Truth, then Comforter is Spirit of Truth, who will come from God and will reveal the whole truth from God.
[John 16:7-8, 12-14]
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of Truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
The Comforter, Spirit of Truth is NOT the Holy Ghost:
To prove this:
It’s explained in the following article that Muhammad (PBUH) is the one who did all the work expected by Comforter and NOT the Holy Ghost:
Secondly, mentioning the Holy ghost with the Comforter and Spirit of Truth, this doesn’t meant that both them are one entity, as it was mentioned with Mary, Jesus, John, Zachariah, Simeon, and others, as in the following verses:
25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.
26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ. [Luke 2:25-26]
1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, [Luke 4:1]
67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,
68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people, [Luke 1:66-67]
35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: [Luke 1:35]
All these means that they were supported by Holy Ghost but not dissolved with Holy Ghost, and he is not the one will come as Prophet, Comforter or Spirit of Truth, as Holy Ghost is not a human person who can carry or deliver such message to Mankind directly, (please refer to Why Muhammad? to see why angels can’t be prophets to Humans).
Therefore, Comforter is the Spirit of Truth supported by the Holy Ghost, and he is the expected Prophet who is Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
3- The False Prophet:
It’s mentioned 3 times only in the New Testament about the “False prophet” as a person who will come later, but let’s read the prophecies in the following verses first:
1- The followings verses talk about: a false prophet who will come with a dragon and a beast, they are spirits of devils, they will do miracles, they will gather kings of the Earth for a great battle, then Jesus will come.
[Revelation 16:12-15]
12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
2- A false prophet with the beast and kings of the Earth armies too, those who followed them because of their miracles. The beast and false prophet will be killed by the knight’s sword (Jesus).
19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
3- An angle locked the beast by a chain bonding him for a thousand year, but will be released for a while, who will deceive the nations in the 4 quarters of the Earth, he will surround the camp of saints, then Gog, and Magog will appear but they will be killed by fire from sky.
[Revelation 20: 1-10]
1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Explanation:
Before interpreting the above prophecy about the “False Prophet” and the beast, we must read the following Hadith of Prophet Muhammad about the “Dajjal”:

When Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) had finished his prayer, he sat on the pulpit smiling and said: Every worshipper should keep sitting at his place.
He then said: Do you know why I had asked you to assemble?
They said: Allah and His Messenger know best.
He said: By Allah. I have not made you assemble for exhortation or for a warning, but I have detained you here, for Tamim Dari, a Christian, who came and accepted Islam, told me something, which agrees with what I was-telling you about the Dajjal. He narrated to me that he had sailed in a ship along with thirty men of Bani Lakhm and Bani Judham and had been tossed by waves in the ocean for a month. Then these (waves) took them (near) the land within the ocean (island) at the time of sunset. They sat in a small side-boat and entered that Island. There was a beast with long thick hair (and because of these) they could not distinguish his face from his back.
They said: Woe to you, who can you be? Thereupon it said: I am al-Jassasa.
They said: What is al-Jassasa?
And it said: O people, go to this person in the monastery as he is very much eager to know about you.
He (the narrator) said: When it named a person for us we were afraid of it lest it should be a Devil. Then we hurriedly went on till we came to that monastery and found a well-built person there with his hands tied to his neck and having iron shackles between his two legs up to the ankles.
We said: Woe be upon thee, who are you?
And he said: You would soon come to know about me. but tell me who are you.
We said: We are people from Arabia and we embarked upon a boat but the sea-waves had been driving us for one month and they brought as near this island (told him how they saw the beast outside..)
He (that chained person) said: Tell me about the date-palm trees of Baisan.
We said: About what aspect of theirs do you seek information?
He said: I ask you whether these trees bear fruit or not.
We said: Yes Thereupon he said: I think these would not bear fruits.
He said: Inform me about the lake of Tabariyya?
We said: Which aspect of it do you want to know?
He said: Is there water in it?
They said: There is abundance of water in it.
Thereupon he said: I think it would soon become dry.
He again said: Inform me about the spring of Zughar.
They said: Which aspect of it you want to know?
He (the chained person) said: Is there water in it and does it irrigate (the land)?
We said to him: Yes, there is abundance of water in it and the inhabitants (of Medina) irrigate (land) with the help of it,
He said: Inform me about the unlettered Prophet; what has he done?
We said: He has come out from Mecca and has settled In Yathrib (Medina).
He said: Do the Arabs fight against him?
We said: Yes.
He said: How did he deal with him?
We informed him that he had overcome those in his neighborhood and they had submitted themselves before him.
Thereupon he said to us: Had it actually happened?
We said: Yes.
Thereupon he said: If it is so that is better for them that they should show obedience to him. I am going to tell you about. myself and I am Dajjal and would be soon permitted to get out and so I shall get out and travel in the land, and will not spare any town where I would not stay for forty nights except Mecca and Medina as these two (places) are prohibited (areas) for me and I would not make an attempt to enter any one of these two. An angel with a sword in his hand would confront me and would bar my way and there would be angels to guard every passage leading to it. (Book #041, Hadith #7028)
More details about the story of Dajjal on
After reading the 2 Hadith’s listed above and in the link, they show clearly that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) mentioned “the Beast and False Prophet” similarly as in the Bible, but even with more details that complete the whole puzzle of the coming “False Prophet” or the Anti-Christ.
The gathering of both prophecies from the Bible and Prophet Muhammad Sayings, show the following:
[Hadith] Dajjal (False Messiah) will be a one-eyed Jewish young man born in Isfahan.
[Hadith] The Beast is locked in Island in West Sea in a monastery, with a hairy animal outside.
[Bible] That Anti-Christ is 3 persons: False Prophet (Human), Breast (Devil) and Dragon.
[Bible] The breast is locked by a chain in a spit by an angle for thousands of years.
[Hadith] Muslims will gather around Damascus City to prepare to fight the Anti-Christ army.
[Hadith] Muslims will fight Dajjal and they will be difficult to him.
[Bible] The False Prophet will gather armies from world Corners, which shown as in the below image surrounding all Islamic States which are in the middle of The world.
[Hadith] Muslims army will be praying the Dawn prayer when Jesus (PBUH) will descend from Heaven and pray with them.
[Hadith] Jesus will lead the Muslim Army and chase the Dajjal and kill him by his spear.
[Bible] False Prophet will surround the Saints army then Jesus will descend and chase the Anti-Christ on his horse and kill him by his sword.
[Hadith] Gog and Magog will come to attack the Muslims again and they are so much that can drink the Lake of Tabariya alone.
[Hadith] Muslim Army will not fight Gog and Magog but ALLAH will send insect that will bite them and kill them all.
[Bible] Gog and Magog will come out to fight Jesus and his army, but Fire will come from heaven and kill them all.
In conclusion:
It’s very clear from above, that Anti-Christ is the Dajjal and he is the False Prophet, with the beast (giant locked on an island) and dragon (Al-Jassasah).
And Jesus is the knight who will kill the Anti-Christ or the False Prophet.
The Saints army around the beloved city is the Muslim army around Damascus city.
4- The False Prophets, False Christs:
Actually after gathering all verses from the New Testament that talks about the false Prophets, it’s very clear that they are talking about 3 types of False Prophets or False Christs:
1- False Prophets, who are False Teachers and will corrupt the Religion of Jesus:
[2 Peter 2:1-3]
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
1 John 4:1
1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Explanation:
It’s clear that the false prophets or the false teachers are those who altered the original religion of Jesus by talking wrongly about his relation with GOD, saying he is Son of God instead of Messenger of God.
And the proof that they are false that they will say that Jesus is of God, and the true teachers are those who will say that Jesus is of flesh, means he is only a messenger and not of a begotten son of god, and saying that will cause them a swift destruction, and the most dangerous who says that he is of spirit of Anti-Christ !!
It also shows that Arius who defended that Jesus is a messenger and NOT a son of God or a God around the 3rd century times, was the true teacher of Jesus religion and all who fought him and exiled, then poisoned him were of Anti-Christ spirit.
(Please check how Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) testimony proved that Arius was the true followers of the Christ on: http://debatewithachristian.blogspot.com/2011/01/q-how-did-testimony-of-prophet-muhammad.html)
2- False Prophets, who are False Christian Priests:
[Matthew 7:14-23]
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Explanation:
Those False Prophets are Christians prophets (or Priests) who will do great miracles, they will be preaching in the name of the Christ, they will cure sick and will cast out devils.
The best group who fit to the one shown in the following Video:
1- False Prophets, Who will come with the Anti-Christ,The False Prophet.
[Matthew 24:5-29]
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
25 Behold, I have told you before.
26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28 For where so ever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
[Mark 13:19-25]
19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.
20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.
21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
Explanation:
As shown above those are the devils who will come with the Anti-Christ and show great miracles so to deceive people to follow him.
It’s very important to note that Anti-christ will appear on ground and will gather people around him and those false prophets will say that he is the Christ and he appeared here or there, while it’s very clear that Jesus much descend from heaven and his group will be already assembled and ready for him to join them.
In conclusion:
For those who think that Muhammad (PBUH) is one of the false prophets, prophet Muhammad never cured people in the name of the Christ and never did such miracle of casting devils for group of people, actually he just learned us that each muslim have to read the following Chapters from Quran in the morning and at night, and he will be protected from devil all his day:
Al-Ikhlas
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Say (O Muhammad (SAW)): "He is Allâh, (the) One (1) Allâh the Self-Sufficient [He neither eats nor drinks]. (2) "He begets not, nor was He begotten (3) "And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him." (4)
Al-Falaq
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Say: "I seek refuge with (Allâh) the Lord of the daybreak, (1) "From the evil of what He has created; (2) "And from the evil of the darkening (night) as it comes with its darkness; (or the moon as it sets or goes away) (3) "And from the evil of those who practice witchcrafts when they blow in the knots, (4) "And from the evil of the envier when he envies." (5)
An-Nas
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Say: "I seek refuge with (Allâh) the Lord of mankind, (1) "The King of mankind (2) "The Ilâh (God) of mankind, (3) "From the evil of the whisperer (devil who whispers evil in the hearts of men) who withdraws (from his whispering in one's heart after one remembers Allâh) , (4) "Who whispers in the breasts of mankind, (5) "Of jinn and men." (6)
Finally,
The summary of all this study is the following:
The Prophet = Comforter = Spirit of Truth = Spirit of God = Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
The Anti-Christ = Beast (spirit) = False Prophet (human) = El-Dajjal
The False Prophets = False Teachers within the 2nd and 5th Centuries = False Priests = False Christ’s will come with Anti-Christ.
Thanks to ALLAH, Lord of the Worlds
