Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in World Scriptures: Parsi – 5/5

(Quoted from Reference: http://www.irf.net/)
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in Zend Avesta:

It is mentioned in Zend Avesta Farvardin Yasht chapter 28 verse 129 (Sacred Books of the East, volume 23, Zend Avesta Part II pg. 220):

"Whose name will be the Victorious, Soeshyant and whose name will be Astvat-ereta. He will be Soeshyant (The Beneficent one) because he will benefit the whole bodily world. He will be Astvat-ereta (he who makes the people, bodily creatures rise up) because as a bodily creature and as a living being he will stand against the destruction of the bodily (being) creatures to withstand the drug of the two footed brood, to withstand the evil done by the faithful (idolaters and the like and the errors of the Mazdaynians)".

This Prophecy applies to no other person more perfectly than it does to Muhammad (PBUH):

The Prophet was not only victorious at Fatah Makkah but was also merciful when he let go the blood thirsty opponents by saying: "There shall be no reproof against you this day".

Soeshyant means the ‘praised one’ (refer Haisting’s Encyclopedia), which translated in Arabic means Muhammad (PBUH).

Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in World Scriptures: Buddhist – 4/5

(Quoted from Reference: http://www.irf.net/)
1. Buddha prophesised the advent of a Maitreya:

A) Almost all Buddhist books contain this prophecy. It is in Chakkavatti Sinhnad Suttanta D. III, 76:

"There will arise in the world a Buddha named Maitreya (the benevolent one) a holy one, a supreme one, an enlightened one, endowed with wisdom in conduct, auspicious, knowing the universe:

What he has realized by his own supernatural knowledge he will publish to this universe. He will preach his religion, glorious in its origin, glorious at its climax, glorious at the goal, in the spirit and the letter. He will proclaim a religious life, wholly perfect and thoroughly pure; even as I now preach my religion and a like life do proclaim. He will keep up the society of monks numbering many thousands, even as now I keep up a society of monks numbering many hundreds".

B) According to Sacred Books of the East volume 35 pg. 225:

"It is said that I am not an only Buddha upon whom the leadership and order is dependent. After me another Buddha maitreya of such and such virtues will come. I am now the leader of hundreds; he will be the leader of thousands."

Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in World Scriptures: Hindu – 3/5

I. Muhammad (pbuh) prophesised in Bhavishya Purana

According to Bhavishya Purana in the Prati Sarag Parv III Khand 3 Adhay 3 Shloka 5 to 8.
"A malecha (belonging to a foreign country and speaking a foreign language) spiritual teacher will appear with his companions. His name will be Mohammad. Raja (Bhoj) after giving this Maha Dev Arab (of angelic disposition) a bath in the Panchgavya and the Ganga water (i.e. purifying him of all sins) offered him the present of his sincere devotion and showing him all reverence said, "I make obeisance to thee. O ye! The pride of mankind, the dweller in Arabia, Ye have collected a great force to kill the Devil and you yourself have been protected from the malecha opponents."

The Prophecy clearly states:

The name of the Prophet as Mohammad.
He will belong to Arabia. The Sanskrit word Marusthal means a sandy track of land or a desert.

Special mention is made of the companions of the Prophet, i.e. the Sahabas. No other Prophet had as many companions as Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

He is referred as the pride of mankind (Parbatis nath). The Glorious Qur’an reconfirms this
"And thou (standest) on an exalted standard of character"   [Al-Qur'an 68:4]|
"Ye have indeed in the Messenger of Allah, a beautiful pattern (of conduct)". [Al-Qur'an 33:21]

Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in World Scriptures: Jewish – 2/5

(Quoted from Reference: http://www.irf.net/)

1)    Muhammad (PBUH) prophesized in the book of Deuteronomy (Old Testament):

a) God Almighty speaks to Moses in Book of Deuteronomy chapter 18 verse 18:

"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him."

b) Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is like Moses (PBUH):

i) Both had a father and a mother.

ii) Both were married and had children.

iii) Both were accepted as Prophets by their people in their lifetime.

iv) Both besides being Prophets were also kings i.e. they could inflict capital punishment.

v) Both brought new laws and new regulations for their people.

vi) Both died a natural death.

Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in World Scriptures: Christianity – 1/5

(Quoted from Reference: http://www.irf.net/)

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the Old Testament:

The Qur’an mentions in Surah Al-Araf chapter 7 verse 157:

"Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures) in the law and the Gospel".

1. Muhammad (PBUH) prophesized in the book of Deuteronomy:

Almighty God speaks to Moses in Book of Deuteronomy chapter 18 verse 18:

"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and I will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him."

The Christians say that this prophecy refers to Jesus (PBUH) because Jesus (PBUH) was like Moses (PBUH). Moses   (PBUH) was a Jew, as well as Jesus (PBUH) was a Jew. Moses (PBUH) was a Prophet and Jesus (PBUH) was also a Prophet.

If these two are the only criteria for this prophecy to be fulfilled, then all the Prophets of the Bible who came after Moses (PBUH) such as Solomon, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Malachi, John the Baptist, etc. (pbut) will fulfill this prophecy since all were Jews as well as prophets.

However, it is Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who is like Moses (PBUH) :

A Jewish Rabbi saying the name of “Muhamad” clearly during his reading of “Song of Solomns” in Hebrew, from old testament

Passion of the Christ (PBUH) mentions about Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) as Mentioned in the Bible !

Q – Need more clarification, how the disciples didn’t saw Jesus on the cross? And if he resurrected in human body not in spirit, what is the problem of that?

Regarding the disciple near the cross, let’s compare the 4 events as mentioned by Mark, Mathew, Luke and John:

  1- Mathew 27:
55 And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:
56 Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedees children.
57 When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple:

2- Mark 15:
40 There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;
41 (Who also, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and ministered unto him;) and many other women which came up with him unto Jerusalem.

Q - Was Jesus really crucified?

Reference: Summary from public lecture by Dr. Zakir Naik (http://www.irf.net/)

Let’s see together the answer from the bible…

1- Crucifixion is the center of Christianity religion, as it’s mentioned in the bible:

12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. [Corinthians1 15:12-14]
But, let's see if Jesus Christ was really crucified and raised again from dead:

2- It’s said in the bible, if someone died, he will be converted to Spiritual body, but did Jesus converted to a spiritual body after his risen from dead or not?

44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.  [Corinthians1 15:44-46]
35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:
36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection. [Luke 20: 33-36]

Q- Is it true that there are many prophecies about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in Old Testament and Bible?

Yes, there are many and the following are some of them:

Prophecy Number (1)
11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction.
12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren. [Genesis 16/11-12]
44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. [Daniel 2/44]
21 (21 They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation) [Deuteronomy 32/21]

Explanation:
This prophecy speaks clearly that God promises that he will move the promise from children of Israel to another “foolish” nation, and the Arabs were the most ignorant people on that time, population of 1 million during prophet Muhammad (PBUH) time, there were only 13 persons who were able to read and write.

Prophecy Number (2)
(12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.) [Isaiah 29/12]

Explanation:
When Angel Gabriel appeared to prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for the first time in the cave of Hiraa, he asked him to read 3 times, but the prophet replied: “I am not learned” for the 3 times.

Q - How do you prove that “Spirit of Truth” is meant for the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and not the “Holy ghost”?

Spirit of truth” is mentioned only 4 times, who we refer it to be Muhammad (PBUH), “Holy ghost” is mentioned 89 times, but let’s what is mentioned only about “Spirit of truth” and how can we know him correctly:

[John 14:16-17]
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

[John 15:26]
26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

Q - Why Muslims try to follow strictly Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) ?

Yes it’s true, no muslim will be a muslim if he criticizes the prophet, because to be a muslim you have to believe in Shahada: which is:

“There is no God except Allah, and Muhammad is his messenger.”

So, if you believe that Muhammad (PBUH) a messenger from God and he don’t speak from himself but from God, so therefore if you don’t accept what he says or commands then you are refusing God’s commands then you will not be a muslim.

As in Quran:
“By the star when it goes down, (or vanishes). (1) Your companion (Muhammad SAW) has neither gone astray nor has erred. (2) Nor does he speak of (his own) desire. (3) It is only a Revelation revealed. (4)” [Najem]

And as prophet Muhammad (PBUH) explained:

“Believer will not his faith be completed till his be liked is following to what I brought to you”

As also described in other hadith:

“Prophet Muhammad drew on the sand a straight line and said this the Way of God, and draw many ways on its left and on its right, saying that on each of these ways there is a devil, and he recited the following:
"And verily, this (i.e. Allâh's Commandments) is my Straight Path, so follow it, and follow not (other) paths, for they will separate you away from His Path. This He has ordained for you that you may become Al-Muttaqûn (the pious)." (153) [Ana’am]
